During my time in the Microsoft Tech Community, I have had the pleasure to co-found and lead Microsoft Comminity events which have gone on to become very successful all over the world.
Teams Nation (2019 – 2022) was a 100% free, 100% community based monthly meetup and community conference focused on Microsoft Teams, its underlying technologies and extensibility options.
The team held 5 conferences over the period 2019 – 2022. In our final conference (March 2022) we had over 3000 attendees, 5000 registrants, 140 sessions and averaged a 4.81/5 session average, 4.75 conference average and an NPS of 87%
Metaverse One (2022 -) is the first 100% free, 100% community driven online conference dedicated to the Microsoft Metaverse, Mixed Reality, MR technologies, and extensibility options.
Having launched the inaugural conference in September 2022 with Vesa Nopanen, with an attendance of over 600, an average session rating of 4.6/5 and NPS of 80% – which is amazing for a first run, I made the decision to step down as principal for the event and hand over the organisation and running to the team whilst I recalibrate for future initiatives. With momentum heading into a second conference in 2023, I look forward to watching the conference grow, and succeed like Teams Nation.
